Skilled Employer Sponsored Visa - subclass 494
The Australian Skilled Employer Sponsored (Regional) Visa – subclass 494 is one of the new visas. Subclass 187 of the RSMS Visa has been replaced. Employers may propose qualified workers under the new provisional employer-sponsored visa.
Does Skilled Employer Sponsored Visa Grant Permanent Residency
The Regional Skilled Worker Visa does not give permanent residence. In contrast to previous RSMS visas, the 494 holders may eventually qualify for a Skilled Regional Permanent Residency Visa—subclass 191.
Eligibility Criteria for Employers
Your employer must be based in the Australian regional area that has been designated.
Some regional areas that already exist are Adelaide, Canberra, Gold Coast, Geelong, Perth, and Sunshine Coast. But it is anticipated that several districts, including Wollongong, Newcastle, and the New South Wales Central Coast, would soon become regional areas.
Prior to nomination, your employer will need the RCB’s (Regional Certifying Body’s) consent in your particular region.
Your present position must be legitimate, full-time, and lasting for five years.
Your pay must correspond to the going wage rate in the market.

What is the Eligibility Criteria for the Applicant?
There are a few criteria that the applicant has to meet in order to be eligible for the visa under any of the streams that was mentioned above
Possess a skills evaluation report
3 years of relevant, full-time employment
Your age shouldn’t be more than 45.
Show evidence of your English proficiency.
Does Skilled Employer Sponsored Visa lead to Permanent Residnecy
A five-year visa falls under subclass 494. Use the Permanent Residence (Skilled Regional) Visa, subclass 191, to gain entry to permanent residence. However, there are requirements that must be met before receiving a PR award.
While you are in possession of a 494 visa, work for three years in the approved regional area.
3 years’ worth of earnings every year The name on the 494 visa application is that of your partner. One partner only is included in the visa application.
The primary candidate for a Permanent Residence (Skilled Regional) Visa must be your partner. However, the minimum yearly income criteria must be met by both partners.
