Professional Year
International students who have earned a degree in accounting, engineering, or computer science from an Australian university are eligible for the Professional Year Program, which enables them to work in their field of study. The Department of Immigration and Border Protection and numerous other accrediting organizations have approved the Professional Year. It enables students to get practical experience and build industry-specific skills, preparing them for a professional career in the Australian workforce.
All overseas students enrolled in the Professional Year program, as well as IT, engineering, and accounting graduates, are given a certain amount of superiority. It gets them ready for their upcoming endeavor. Candidates receive five points for completing the Professional Year towards their Australia immigration application.
The curriculum lasts for 44 weeks in total. The applicant will do a 12-week internship during which time they will learn how to function in the Australian workplace and improve their communication skills.
Basic Requirements for a Professional Year
Bachelor’s Degrees in Australia:
The candidate must meet the first requirement, which is that they have a bachelor’s degree in either accounting, information technology, or engineering.
To apply for Post Study Work Stream 485, candidates must receive an overall score of six bands.
For a Temporary Graduate visa subclass 485 and to be registered in a Professional Year Program, the candidate must receive six bands in each module according to the Accounting Professional Year Program. For a TR 485 Visa, the applicant must have access for more than 12 months.
